In the gospel of Luke, an Angel appears to a man named Zechariah and tells him that his prayer has been heard and that his and his wife’s desire for a child is about to come true.
The book of Acts contains another story of the early church praying fervently for the apostle Peter when he is put in prison. Later, Peter is miraculously released from prison by an Angel!
Jesus told his followers:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” (John 14:14)
